Hypothesis Fund Scouts are outstanding scientists who demonstrate intense curiosity, creative thinking, and an inclination to support the work of others. 

The Hypothesis Fund does not issue RFPs or other grant application processes. Instead, we entrust our accomplished Scouts to identify and recommend worthy seed-stage experiments for funding. Neither the Fund nor Scouts accept unsolicited pitches.

The Hypothesis Fund is generously supported by charitable contributions, including from the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation, Psquared Philanthropies, PCLB Foundation, Aphorism Foundation, Manton Foundation, Gates Ventures, and Lyda Hill Philanthropies.

Hypothesis Fund seed grants may include at most 10% in indirect costs.
